Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the platform operated by MetaCiteX ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or accessing our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

0. Definitions

"Payment Processor" means the third-party payment service provider engaged by MetaCiteX to process subscription payments. As of the Effective Date, our Payment Processor is Lemon Squeezy. We reserve the right to change our Payment Processor at any time, and any such change will be reflected in an updated version of these Terms.

1. Account Eligibility & Registration

  • •Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to use our Services.
  • •Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Subscriptions, Billing & Credits

  • •Credit System: MetaCiteX operates on a recurring credit system. 1 Credit allows for the generation of 1 GEO Article.
  • •Monthly Refresh: Credits are refreshed monthly on your billing anniversary date. Unused credits do not roll over to subsequent billing cycles and expire at the end of each billing period.
  • •Recurring Billing: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis via our Payment Processor. Your subscription will automatically renew each month on your billing anniversary date unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • •Payment Methods: We accept payments through our Payment Processor. By providing payment information, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the designated payment method.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for your initial subscription purchase, provided that:

  • (a) the refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days of the initial payment date; and
  • (b) you have not consumed any paid credits during your subscription period. Free trial credits (up to 3 articles) do not count toward this threshold.

If you have consumed any paid credits (i.e., you have generated more than 3 total articles), your subscription becomes non-refundable, regardless of when the refund request is submitted.

  • •Subscription Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via Account Settings > Billing. Your account and remaining credits will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within an active billing period.
  • •How to Request a Refund: To request a refund, please contact us at support@metacitex.com with your account email and order details. Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.

4. Intellectual Property & Output Ownership

  • •User Ownership: You retain full ownership of all text, articles, HTML tables, and JSON-LD Schema generated through your account on MetaCiteX. You are free to publish, edit, modify, and commercialize this content.
  • •MetaCiteX IP: MetaCiteX retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform, proprietary scoring algorithms, UI/UX designs, trademarks, and trade secrets. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the platform.
  • •Third-Party Platforms: MetaCiteX is an independent software tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party platforms.

5. AI Content & EEAT Disclaimer

  • •As-Is Provision: MetaCiteX generates content using artificial intelligence and public web consensus. Content is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
  • •User Verification Duty: You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain factual inaccuracies, outdated information, or hallucinations. You agree to review, fact-check, and edit all output before publishing on live websites or commercial channels.
  • •No Guarantee of Rankings or Citations: MetaCiteX does not guarantee that AI-generated content will achieve specific search engine rankings, be cited by AI engines, or generate any particular level of traffic or revenue.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • •Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory
  • •Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • •Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • •Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform
  • •Use the Services in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetaCiteX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of search engine rankings, website traffic, data, or revenue, arising from your use of the Services.

Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to MetaCiteX in the past twelve (12) months.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Services will cease, and you will not be entitled to a refund for any unused portion of your subscription.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Services after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
